Matt has handled nearly all aspects of corporate law and transactions such as business formation, (including C-Corporations, S-Corporations, Limited Liability Companies and Professional Corporations), buy-sell agreements, drafting leases, contracts, deeds and related secured transactions. He has acted as counsel to large and small businesses.

He has a successful trial record having tried civil jury trials, felony jury trials, bench trials, administrative hearings before the state of Michigan in the Wage and Hour Division, the Liquor Control Division, and the Secretary of State. In addition to formal trials, he has also handled numerous private arbitration and mediation of cases in Michigan and Washington D.C.

Matt has handled all aspects of construction lien law. In addition, he has drafted a manual for a large corporation to guide its policies in this area of the law.

Matt has over two decades of experience drafting wills and trusts. He has also handled estates and litigation arising from disputes regarding trust and estate property.

He has handled cases in this area such as: dog bites, discrimination, premises liability, auto accidents, and insurance disputes. Matt is dedicated to helping individuals injured as a result of the careless and negligent acts of others.

Matt has a successful record in handling property matters, mortgage disputes, property liens, easements, property line disputes, landlord/tenant disputes, drafting commercial leases and Secured transactions involving personal property such as commercial equipment.

In the past twenty years, he has handled virtually all areas of criminal law ranging from traffic misdemeanors to life offense felonies including, but not limited to traffic citations, drunk driving, drug cases, assault, criminal sexual conduct, retail fraud, embezzlement, breaking and entering, home invasion and Michigan Liquor Control Violations.

Matt has had successful results before the Michigan Court of Appeals in the following types of cases: custody, criminal, corporate disputes, civil litigation, and construction law.
